Network Ring v4.0
Scottie1972
I just wanted to show everyone what I have been working on for the past few months.
I call it Network Ring. This is version 4 of this application.
Image

This application comes complete with a Web Interface that is controlled completely through the Desktop H.U.D.
Image

With in this H.U.D. you can subscribe to the networks message areas.
Image

You can also read post messages.
Image

You can also subscribe to File Categories
Image

You can view all the file that you have add to your file system.
Image

Form here you have the option to Delete or Edit any file that you
have added to your file system.
Image

The H.U.D. come complete with a Configuration feature so you can change
different setting of the H.U.D. and the installed servers.
Image

Network Ring comes complete with a web interface.
This web interface is for all member access and visitor preview.
Unless you are a member of the Ring, you can not access or post
to the Web Interface.

The web Interface has just 1 theme at the moment, but I am working on that.
Image

You can control what sections of the Web Interface you wish to be displayed on the web site.
All functions and features are controlled with in the H.U.D.

The File System including listings and download look like this.

The Message System is also controlled from the H.U.D. itself.

There are many many many features that I have not listed here.
I will setting up a website for updates and annoucements on the progress
of the development of the Network Ring Software.
There will be a mailing list so you will not miss any newsletters that
I will be post as the development grows.

Note to Developers
If you like this Software and would like to be come a part of the developing
team. Tell me what type of Networking expereince you have and what type of ideas
that you may have.

As this is still in buld mode and is only about a 3rd of the way complete.
I just wanted to let everyone see what I was upto.
The system installed will be over 250 megs in size. And is to be ran
on a dedicated server.

This software is for Networking. It will connect and share data between the Main network HUB
and all other members that are on the network. This application is !NOT! for those who wish
to just download it and check it out. This is for cleints that want to be a part of something
new to the internat.

If you DO NOT have a dedicated server or can have a server running 24/7
then this software is not for you.

Where you say H.U.D do you mean its like a website managment software?
How does it take up 250MB?

H.U.D.
Heads Up Display

It takes you that much space do the Web Server, Database Server, and variuos scripting engines.
All is build into the H.U.D. and the Network Software.

I think a better term for the layout would be GUI (Graphical User Interface).

About the file size - sure if you include the extras you need to run the program (SQL server, runtime libraries, resources etc) it will probably add up to that. But I doubt you will program in 250MBs worth of code unless you are redesigning the operating system or something.

Well, You could call it a GUI. But it does more then just an interface.
And as far as filesize goes...I was simply tryin to tell everyone one how large the file is. Nothing more then that.
I really dont think what ever I named the Interface matters.
I could call it a hoosierdannyintelfluxinator if that is better?
