Been quite a few months, I actually have a tonne of experience with Minecraft plugins (even made one of my own!)
You should prevent the TAB key from being used.
I challenge you to add a parser too so the program can detect errors BEFORE the user uploads the file, restarts server and wonders why their permissions don't work.
Other things you can add are the standard bukkit yaml files

I may do this in the feature but right now I am working on a much larger project which will have a notepad ++ like application in it and I may just add a plugin to that which will do the same job or even improve upon it
