I want to set a simple server (my computer being the server) so I can play with my friend.

I want the server to be exactly like the creative mode in minecraft, except multiplayer.

can anyone help me with this?

My friend will be connecting to the server over the internet.

Extract everything in a folder, open server.properties, and replace server-ip by your ip(and save). Then start using the Start shortcut.
Oh it's a bukkit server , because I hate the vanilla one

If you want other people to join your server, you'll have to make sure to configure port forearding on your router, or install Hamachi on your computer.

I got my server working using hamachi and the server executable from minecraft.net

I ran into one problem, in the server, I can edit some parts of the world, but not others. Do you know what could be causing this?
