Regedit Infection :(
hungryhounduk
Hi All
I did a MalWareBytes Scan today and it picked up this :(

Registry Data Items Infected:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\regfile\shell\open\command\(default) (Broken.OpenCommand) -> Bad: ("regedit.exe" "%1") Good: (regedit.exe "%1") -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

I am not sure what the suspect file did to the Registry, but I thought i would give you all a Heads up, and Avast does not pick this up :?

DownLoad Malwarebytes ( its FREE) and do a scan on your Systems

its better to be safe than sorry

Good thing you got rid of it.
Registry virus are usually just for advertisement for fake anti virus programs, they try to get you to buy it from them, atleast thats wha I think

Looks like the only difference is a pair of quote marks.
There's no problem with either of those entries.

I think microsoft should secure registry a little bit more, in my opinion it is too accessible.
