Re: [Photoshop] Simple 3D Text

simple (a little old) but still nice tutorial: you could make it better by going to Edit.. Transform.. Perspective. or try to use the filters a little

Merge and Transform
RunarM
This will show you how you can merge and transform your text:

1.
Just add a new layer:
Image

2.
Hold Shift and select all layers like this:
Image

3.
Now click on the layer you created in the first step and click 'merge layers'
Image
Now you'll only have 1 layer...

4. Now you can go to Edit -> Transform and choose one of those to transform your text, you can also use free transform.. (The quality will look bad until you click Apply transform

This is what i ended up with:

And place the selected text under the original text like this:

Now go to:
Layer -> Layer style -> Blending Option
and make the Opacity 25%

Now you'll have this:

YOU HAVE TO MERGE THE LAYER BEFORE YOU CAN DO THIS (READ TUTORIAL ABOVE):

3D image
RunarM
Inspired by: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=3810&p=26908

I'll teach you how to make a 3D (Red-Cyan) Image.

This is what you will need:
*Photoshop
*An image (i used: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3086/313 ... 01ccb7.jpg)

Step 1:
First you'll need to dublicate your image, you do this by draging your 1 image down to the dublicate layer tool (which you can see in the image).
Image

Step 2:
Select 'Layer 1' and go to 'Edit' -> 'Transform' -> Perspective and top right you'll see something that says H: [textbox] - In the textbox you write: 2,00
Then this msgbox thing will pop up, click 'Apply'.
Image

Step 3:
Select 'Layer 2' and go to 'Edit' -> 'Transform' -> Perspective and top right you'll see something that says H: [textbox] - In the textbox you write: -2,00
Then this msgbox thing will pop up, click 'Apply'.
Image

Step 4:
Select 'Layer 1' again and go to 'Layer' -> 'Layer style' -> 'Blending options...' and uncheck 'R'.
Image

Now you are finished and you'll have something like this:
Image
If you are unhappy with the red and the cyan in the image you can change the H: at perspective.
Thanks, RunarM.

NEW:
If you add an extra layer for background it will look better, like this:
