Hello,

I want to become a professional programmer when I get older, and I do not know what I would need to know.

Of course, I know VB is not supported in professional careers (usually). But what are some good languages to learn?

I want to be a lead/co-lead developer who works for people like TechSmith (SnagIt people), Piriform (CCleaner people), etc.

Note, those were examples.

But what should I learn? Am I on the level I should be right now, or should I attempt to advance further?
All I know right now is VB.NET, some HTML, and some VB6, I am 12, and I feel like I do not know enough for my age to be a pro.

Please list them for me :)

PS. your sig is broken lol

You should definitely learn C#/C++. Java is also a tough language that companies use.

To make an B you do:
Code: Select all

Learn some website editing languages as well (if you don't know), like maybe HTML, PHP, CSS etc. And learn java, flash and other stuff as well. When you learn one, move to the other.
