Suggest a light weight antivirus software which won't slow down my computer. Did a complete format on my P4 comp. (Am on my mobile now, can't type much!)

do you want a anti-virus software that lets your computer run fast or do you want a anti-virus software that does the job is was designed to do?

if your looking for speed then you should just not install a anti-virus software at all.

but to answer your question.
Avast has been the best "FREE" anti-virus software that I have used.
I run a P4 and the only time my machine slows is during a large update or during scan (duh!).

I agree with Scottie. Avast is hands-down the best anti-virus I have EVER used on any computer I've used. Speed, security, and reliability.

avast! has always been my first choice. I was installing it when I started this topic.
